Dan Swanö - Rarities
The one and only Swanö, Sweden's most celebrated autodidact culls a motley collection of covers outages intakes and bloopers worthy of any zippo reel...worth it for the Asia covers (theres 3 of them!) alone.

Vinterland - Welcome My Last Chapter
Another great one for this cold, frigid weather 5 out of 5 snowflakes

Omnitron - Masterpeace
A grrroovy hot mess of an album from former Krixhjalters members. Ukeleles, big brass, 8bit, trip-hop, a woplopadobop, treat yourself to a grab-bag of plunderphonix and meaty riffs. Things really start stomping in tunes like "I Am He"where technojabbers roll into an accordian dirge that would make Sammy Sousa proud. "Eroticon's" Nordic-Boy take on Acid Bath may just bring down the house, but then here comes a sweet Maiden lead section to send gooseskin up your arm. A ripping cover of Ace of Spades wraps things up, proving that yes these guys do have taste. At least as much fun as GuineaPig Assasinator and right up there with Fable Frolic as well, in fact this is one of the greatest Swedish metal releases ever...believe it!

Mercy - Witchburner
So the new Candlemass is pretty good guys and it's got me listening to their past albums + stuff from their formative years leading me to Marcolin's pre-Candlemass band...you can already tell he was developing the "evil monk" persona, especially with the lyrics of Pervert Priest..."I drink your wine, I eat your food, when I do house calls, I'm in the mood"..."I fuck a nun, she makes me cum"....oooh Messiah, hilarious and blasphemous how can you not love it?!?

Za Frumi - Za Shum Ushatar Uglakh
Ha haha this band is crazy! You think Summoning is obsessed with LOTR, this band takes it to a whole nother level! The vocalizations are a highlight as it's all in orcish complete with wildass orc intonations. Hilarious, mesmerizing and delightful!

The Skull Defekts - The Drone Drug
Drone Drug's sound is about as welcome as a kick to the groin, and it succeeds on that very fact alone. ENJOOOOY!!!

Falconer - Chapters From A Vale Forlorn
It's cool that Falconer's getting some play from that new car commercial (as well as are sushi, flight attendants and paratroopers), so I thought I'd post my favorite release from them. Fun as hell power metal with a smooth as shit vocalist, (who was trained in the musical theater)! Sure to please fans of Helloweiners and Lost Horizon.

Falconer's MINI Coupe Commercial
Never thought I'd see a car commercial featuring Falconer, this is some weird ass shit for sure.

Entombed - Uprising
Oh my what to say about Entombed? They were kings of death metal, abdicated the throne and became kings of death'n'roll, only to abdicate that throne and become losers of grunge (actually I like Same Difference, Clauses is a great song). Uprising was a timely return to form, the ultimate adrenaline rush with every song hitting you harder than the last...and as a bonus track features Superior, my absolute fav Entombed song ever. You cannot listen to this song and not want to go absolutely apeshit, fuck that goes for every single song on this monster, just listen to ol'LG now.

SWDM Demas
A tidy little package of grade A+++ SWDM demos that's bound to send you into a morbid feeding frenzy of uncalculable delights. All are top notch, but that Eructation is fucking fantastic!! I don't know how that band never made it big. Goddamn travesty is what it is.
ENJOOOOY!!!

Cemetary - An Evil Shade Of Grey
A festering diseased relic from the warp and waft of the old school. Conjures images of tumescent demoniak squirrels engorging themselves on fresh human remains...
...this one's a keeper.

Crypt of Kerberos - The Macrodex of War
Strange and subterranean darkness that later sprouted wings and became refined Edge of Sanity progdeath. A compendium of styles.

Darkane - Rusted Angel
Disregard the cheesefest that is the cover art, cuz this is a vicious technical display of melodic deaththrash that's like candy to my ears. Darkane's best hands down.

Afflicted - Prodigal Sun
Prog Sci-Death weirdness insanity! Apparently Nuclear Blast pimped the hell out of this band when this came out in 1992, it tanked, and the band promptly fell off the face of the earth only to resurface and turn towards the seedier waters of power metal...a cautionary tale.

Dismember - Indecent & Obscene
An all-all-all time classic of the genre. Skinfather, Dreaming In Red, Reborn In Blasphemy...the hitz just keep coming. Karki and krew really hit the nail on the head. Not one to be missed.

Liers In Wait - Spiritually Uncontrolled Art
Hoppy Hoppy Easter everyone. I was racking my brain trying to come up with the most blasphemous thing that I could post on this holy day and came up with this little nugget. Formed by Necrolord (the renowned album cover artist) and utilizing the vocal talents of Christofer Johnsson (Therion, Carbonized), Liers unleashed this short and non too sweet EP back in '92. Owing much to the furious sounds of Altars era Morbid Angel, Spiritually Uncontrolled Art is a chaotic onslaught of Lovecraftian trem-picked math madness. Perfect as an addendum to that Easter Egg hunt or a more ribald game of "hide the egg".
